Inspired by Julia & Julia, we’ve annointed ourselves Cathy & Cathi.

We are heading out tomorrow on our very first cross-country road trip from Michigan to California. We are GEEKED to get going on this adventure!

The plan -
Start in Michigan, land in Pomona, California 8 days later – with stops in St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, Mesa Verde National Park (NP), Arches NP, Mt. Zion NP, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Pomona and return via Scottdale, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, Ft. Smith, Memphis, Nashville, and Louisville

Did you know that the Tyrannosaurus Rex, in those years that it roamed the Earth alongside humans and turtles and bunny rabbits and whatnot, only ate sinners? Among evangelicals, it’s apparently common knowledge that the T-Rex was like Loki’s sword, just another tool in God’s arsenal to help him smite the wicked, much like swarms of locusts or Matt Damon’s glock.

Europe 1988, Part 2

I remember there were decisions to be made about which direction to drive around and through Switzerland. We ended up driving to Grindelwald, a town in a beautiful valley in the middle of the Berner-Oberland. This was a highlight of my European experience. It was just so nice, and pretty, and quaint, and perfect.
